Mother of Pearl
The interior of the shell of an oyster which has been polished to a thin surface and is used on the faces of a number of jewellery items. While normally off-white in color it can also be pink, light grey and yellow.

Rhodium
Rhodium is a member of the platinum metals group; this group also includes platinum, palladium, ruthenium, iridium, and osmium. Among the "white" decorative platings, rhodium is considered "best in class" in terms of toughness and wear resistance. Along with its numerous physical characteristics such as hardness, and high reflectivity, rhodium has an extraordinary resistance to most acids and corrosive substances.


Silver
A precious metal used in our jewellery collection. Sterling silver is a precious metal containing at least 92.5% silver. Pure silver is never used as it is too soft to be practical. To make it durable for jewellery, pure silver (of 999 fineness) is very often alloyed with small quantities of copper (7.5%).Thus becoming sterling silver (92.5% or .925) which is used for decorative and fashionable jewellery.
